Donovan Mcnabb is the most productive quarterbacks in the past decade short of Manning and Brady. He has overcome injuries and controversy and consistently leads the Eagles deep into the playoffs even after all the criticism he has absorbed. If the Eagles were to give Donovan legitimate wide receivers I think the sky is the limit, you saw what Mcnabb could do with a big play WR in 2004, and I think that is what separates him from Manning and Brady, that they have far better weapons than Mcnabb has and probably ever will. I love Mcnabb as a player. He is fun to watch and is a great leader.

I have also been a Mcnabb fan for a while but he did a few things to shy me away from the bandwagon.
First of all, the interview with Mcnabb didnt change my view of him, but first of all, he lost all of my respect in the superbowl. People can say what they want about the patriots cheating but the eagles were still in that game regardless. the last 3 mins. Mcnabb didnt show me the fire you need to win the big games. Also i felt in a way he choked in that moment with running down the clock.
Second, i didnt like the way he handled the Terrell Owens situation. I know most of it was T.O. fault but Mcnabb could have defused the whole situation with talking it out behind closed doors. and continuing their season and returning back to the superbowl. but Mcnabb sat back and let the whole situation play its self out. cause unwanted tensions in the lockerroom as well as ruining a good season.
finally I still think he is one of the most talented QBs in the NFL but i honestly dont see the killer instinct or fire in Mcnabb to win it all.

He is a good QB, but not great. Granted he doesn't have much weapons besides Westbrook and before TO. However, I think he was given too much credit for leading the Eagles to the NFC championship games. That defense is what played a major part in getting the Eagles there. He had a great game against the Lions, but I don't expect him to keep that going. They have no true #1 WR, and when they go against teams with a decent secondary, not even a good secondary, they will have problems. Just remeber the Redskins game when the CB were playing man to man and the Eagles could not do anything. Good player, but when he has a bad game, they need to rest him because he is not completely healthy.

He's always been a super star. I'm a Lion's fan (sob sob), they made McNabb look like a Hall of Fame quarterback. You do realize, the Lions didn't seem to know the game had started. I am not taking anything away from Donovan, he did what an experienced quarterback does-took advantage.
Curtis that caught 11 passes was just cut by the Lions. I loved it !!!

So since he runs for touchdowns against Dallas, that means he deserves to get injured? You're a bit sick. McNabb seems like a good guy.

I have never liked the eagles but i think mcnabb is a solid starter. He has pretty much perfected his deep passing and he can run well. He just isnt good enough to win the big game.

He's got a strong arm and a weak mind.
He is extremely inconsistent with his performances, just like this guy name Rex Grossman who gets torched by the media every week.
Finally he is an injury prone mess, if he isn't on the IR, he is blaming a bad performance on some lingering injury that wasn't bad enough to keep him out of the game, just bad enough to prevent him from winning the game.
I'm sick of his excuses, he has a QB rating of 89.8 since the super bowl, and yesterdays win bring his win percentage since the Super Bowl trip to .500.
What a stud!

McNabb has always been inconsistent.
On the other hand, Romo and Brady seem to be able to do quite fine with Owens and Moss.

McNabb is a great player, and if he had more weapons, he would realy shine. He will go down as a Hall of Famer.
