If rightwingers hated our troops, they would be sending them to fight for no reason, extending their deployment, refusing them medical benefits and underfunding the VA system.

Being that you will find a heck of a lot more of us conservatives that actually wore the uiniform than you will liberals, I dont really think we owe you any explainations. As a younger man I was supportive of Clinton in 1992 then I woke up and started paying attention. As a veteran with 15 yrs of service that is politically aware and not a blind ideologue, I have yet to find a democrat above the state representative level (a position that represents about 4,000 people here) I have not found one democrat that I believe has any true understanding of the role of the military.
Take your opinions that you consider facts and moveon = )
Oh, have a nice day!!

"Study hard or we'll send you to Iraq."
"Gen. Betrayus"
"Our troops are terrorists"
"They wouldn't be there if they could get a job."
"They wouldn't be there if they didn't have to follow orders."
Do these sound familiar? They should. Because it's familiar to the troops; the men and women who ARE the military as well as our brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, friends and classmates. You see, the right wing IS the military. And I'd appreciate it if you'd stop using the military, an organization that folks like you would just as soon spit on, to further your agenda.

How about this...I was in Iraq 1. Most of my family is or has been military, as are nearly all of my friends. By the way, 100% of them are either right wing or moderate conservative. As were about 90% of the men I served with.
To even imply that the right wing hates the troops is enough that I would stomp a mud hole in your **** if you had said that to my face.
As a whole, the democratic party hates our troops. It is their right because we have fought to give them that right, but I wish they would simply tell each other instead of our enemies.

I'm a Conservative Republican (read: Conservative, not a Bible-thumping Neo-Conservative) who has served this country in the US Navy for four years and two months. During my service, I was awarded two NAMs, Good Conduct, National Defense, two Sea Service, Coast Guard Special Operations, Expert Rifle Marksman, and Expert Pistol Marksman.
I do not abhor our troops. I support them. And while my time of service is up, both active and IRR, if I was asked by our government to rejoin the Navy on a ship heading for the Gulf for any reason - I wouldn't hesitate.

My daughter wants to enlist and I support her. I feel our troops are the best of America. I'm sure that permitting my daughter to join the service and encouraging her interest over the years isn't enough proof for you but it is the best I can do. Whether I support this policy or that policy is meaningless when I have my child involved.

Well given that the majority of troops are right wingers, you must think our troops really hate themselves and each other.

My Grandson deploys to Iraq with his Unit on October 30, 2007. I certainly don't abhor him. I think you probably do, but I don't.
