One, which I will never divulge, I've kept for 26 years. Another, which I have kept for 37 years, is one I made to my brother. He asked only that I never tell my mother, but I see no reason not to tell it here.
When I was 6 and my brother 13, he accidently shot me in the hand with his BB gun. Knowing that to let my mother see this would result in his gun being taken from him, he carefully removed the pellet from my palm and helped me wrap it and keep it clean. Mother never knew the truth behind my injury, and I can't recall now what I told her when she asked.

I guess it's just human nature to not want to tell everybody everything that goes on in a persons life because we think that there will be a negative outcome to the results of our little secrets. there for we hold on to them and even in our minds we think about them from time to time, but still we never voice them because we don't want to hurt any body's feelings or have to deal with the repercussions from it, so there for it is better unsaid. I feel for you Fireball because I too have held on to secrets for a number of years, and when I leave this place and head on to the other, I will take them with me!

secrets are like lies they can destroy you if you are not careful. secrets should only be held for the protection of loved ones, a selfless act on your part. a selfish secret will destroy you like a cancer. always be careful what you consider to be a secret, think about it long and hard.
