What will we have on our Picnic?

Let's have an autumn picnic and go to the East side of the Sierras, Lundy Lake area to be specific. The aspens leaves are turning a vivid yellow.

We can park the car near the lake and take a walk in the pines and aspens before lunch.

We will have a hot potato soup (thermos); a crusty rustic bread, sharp cheddar cheese and mild teleme cheese.
We will have prepared a nice tossed green salad with the last of the summer's tomatoes, and dress it with olive oil and lemon balsamic vinegar. And, for our entree, we will have cold lobster with melted butter. (We put the butter in a small pan, pop the hood on the car, put the pan on the engine and while we walk, the heat from the engine melts the butter.) For dessert, we have free form apple tartlets, with whipped cream that we made at home and stored in an airtight container. We have a nice white wine with lunch, and a thermos of hot tea to have with the tartlet.
