ok so i used to love the name skylar, but now that i think about it, i dont know, now it sounds kinda werid to me and not good for when a child like gets older you know. i kinda like the idea of just sky or skye but i dont know either.



im really looking for a name that starts with S so the intails can be S.S


even ideas?

You say that Skylar strikes you as a name that won't age well. I'm afraid that is equally true of Sky or Skye.

If you love the name, one option is to choose a classic middle name. Skylar William, Skylar Elizabeth, Skylar Marie. Should your child grow up and feel their given name is a bit too flimsy, they can become S. Elizabeth, S. William or whatever.

Skylar/Skye/Sky is not my style, but it isn't a terribly unusual or kreaatif name. I'm not sure I'd dismiss it if you really favor it more than others.

Honestly, I don't like Sky or Skylar as first names, they make great middle names.
Here a few "S" names I like...Susan, Sally, Samantha

I like Skyler for an adult woman. Skye is really pretty though so go with that if you don't like Skyler (a lot of people don't, I wanted Kyler so I could nickname my boy Ky but everyone was against it.)
