what is this obsession with highschool musical and Hannah montana. they suck, they are not TRUE artist.
-they don't write their own music
-disney is the one making the most profit
- their songs aren't that creative, anyone can make up lyrics like that.
-and most likely their voices have been computerized/ fixed.
the movie HSM wasn't that good. it got annoying after a while
and why are they out selling REAL MUSICAL ARTIST?!!!????
Its sad what this world is coming to.

again OMG please don't comment on MCR
first they are not emo and second they are really artist, they do not fix their voice, they write their own lyrics and they are amazing performers, third this question has nothing to do with them so stop trying to bash them. by real artist i meant like the smashing pumpkins, misfits, bon jovi, MCR, breaking benjamin, linkin park,etc... (even some rappers are real artist compared to HSM and Hannah montana like Common, Kanye- not much or a fan but atleast thier music makes sense and has meaning.) i prefer you don't reply to this but i can't stop you from doing so.

WOW ! You are right on. The "High School " thing is gay and lame, that little girl that plays Hannah (Miley ?) I've never heard her sing-she just screams and the background music makes it worse. It is a joke.

They are definitely McArtists, but was our generation not infatuated with the Mickey Mouse Club? Hello, its the same thing. As far as them being contained entertainment- limited to a Musical Television show and musical movies, its great wholesome entertainment for kids. So its not the level of Phantom of the Opera and Cats, but when we loved Mary Poppins did we give a hoot? uh, no I dont think so. I dotn know much about Hannah Montana, but HSM is catchy and not all about sex and drugs and growing up too fast, which is probably why it sells so big with parents. Yeah, its not mature, life changing, status quo challenging Oscar worthy material, but its better for our kids than than the sex selling dry humping go out and shoot someone or have drunken sexual escapades selling artists..... To each his own....

not trying to be snide, but...what's the big hairy deal with what other people enjoy? is it harming you in some way? my kids love hsm and hannah montana--is it what i'm into? not in the least...but i don't expect everyone else to prefer the same kind of music as me...i've read your profile and 2/3 of your preferences i can't stand...does it make my tastes 'superior?' not in the least...just different!

I see alot of questions on here about Hannah Montana about tickets to go and see her and im sitting here, confused thinking " WTF? Who would want to go and see Hannah Montana??? Its just a waste of money?!"
But geez even worse.. High School Musical.

It is THE worst movie ever. I mean its SO cheesy. Zac Effron doesnt even sing in the first movie [old news but still..] And doesnt every 1 in 3 girls in America have a poster of him? Glad I dont live there...
arrrgh! Now theres a high school musical 2??! I am most definitely not wasting my own time watching that when instead I could be..ummm..Well Im just not wasting my time..
So I agree with you.
They have no talent.
And yes I am sad for the little children being brought up with this tragic entertainment.. :'(

HSM isn't that bad
I'd rather listen to that than something like Umbrella by Rihanna, its ok when other people sing it [ XD ] but HSM isn't all that bad. I couldn't listen to the whole thing straight. That would kill me. I can listen to single songs. I'm ashamed to say I know the words.... Mainly cos I sing them in PE when we have nothing better to do (we also sing disney songs...lol)
Hannah Montana is ok-ish. I haven't heard much of the music, apart from "the best of both worlds" which seems a little pointless.
And have you seen the movies/programmes... hello... CHEESY! but i still watched it

I agree completely.
And yes, most artists do digitally fix their voices...BUT I dont listen to them. I dont listen to anyone who doesnt sound just as good live, as they do on their album.
Now I know someone is going to say something abut Gerard's voice...He has an amazing voice. He puts everything he has into every single performance, and it is putting alot of stress on his throat & voice. But there are those concerts you hear, and his voice is just so beautiful...
Moving on...
I cant stand the Diney crowd. I actually feel sorry for their poor ears...Perhaps we should introduce them to some actual real, and good, music. Eardrum rehabilitation.
Disney manipulates the tweens. They decide what their going to like. The sad thing is, they actually do. I wonder if they are even capable of thinkig for themselves...
Another thing I cant stand is bad lyrics. The lyrics are the most important thing in a song to me, then comes the talent of the preformers, then the 'catchy tune' that seems to be the only requirment for a hit song to most people.

Yes. I TOTALLY agree. I wanted to see a musical and i changed to the first high school musical and i had to change the channel it was so BAD. Everyone at my school, Mr.Bryars highschool by the way, is like "omg! hannah montana! high school musical is the best!" its STUPID. I see HSM folders everywhere and its flat out annoying. i just want the hype to end. disney music sucks.

I agree! They're so fake and they can't even really sing! I refuse to watch Disney channel because it's all garbage. The music business is all about making money.....not music. I prefer to listen to artists that write their own stuff and aren't known as "one hit wonders."Great question! (have a star!)

I totally agree with you! disney is becoming so big. and HSM isnt really music! everyone on disney channel goes out to sing. when they can't! MCR is real music. with meaning and AWESOME MUSIC! then you have vanessa hudgens, who took nude pics, and they ended up on the net. little girls are supposed to look up to that??!!! disney is corrupting our counrty/world.

Just because someone can not write the music they sing does not mean they are not an a real artist. Some songwriters can not sing, does this mean they are not real songwriters and should just pick another job?
