Assuming this was lump-sum (one big payoff) and that the taxes were covered...those are two *big ifs* by the way...

--Pay my debts. Yes, ALL of them, including my student loans.

--Set aside about 15-20% of the remainder to live on, as I...

--*Invest* the next 80-85% of the winnings into some solid, not-so-risky, *income earning funds*. I have one plan on how this would work out already, a sort of "live off of the interest" plan. But yeah, it would take at least a *year's time* to get it going.

Sad part of it is? I could pull *all* of this off with about...well, considerably less than half a million. Can't go under $300K though as that would cut too much into the income-generating funds.

So it wouldn't take a *whole lot*, just one large lump-sum payoff with the taxes covered.

Not that this is going to happen, but hey....dreaming can't hurt, right?

Thanks for your time. ^_^

The FIRST thing I would do, is to go out and buy a new car. After that, I would pay off all my bills so I no longer owed anything....and buy my mom a house.
