I totally agree with JoeK.
I always wonder why when either india or pakistan lose, their are fans that are so quick to say the match was fixed without giving the players the benefit of the doubt that they played their heart out but came up short.
If Pakistan had won, would the match-fixing charge still be made?
Why not have some confidence in your team?

it could be a mistake by Misbah....like i can't doubt Misbah by looking at his effort....he can't fall in such fishy thing..! he played on his own and brought Pakistan to the edge of victory but could not control that shot and got out ...though i believe that Pakistan teams deserved to win this tournament for their overall performance and making their way to the final after defeating the strong teams with this new team..they didn't play well in the final.especialy their batsmen...and this is where we always fail.our fielding wasn't bad.....bowling was superb....but batting was worse..and while chasing a target, one should control the nerves and this is where our team fails...! they have no control over their nerves..and i think Misbah was the only person who kept his nervers excpet for the last moment..! can't comment on match fixing..but i don't believe in it much..! May be something fishy ..but
Only fact that i know today is that we have lost an easy match and we could have made for the victory easily with this team but we didn't !

Hai Addy,
What makes you think like that?
Sure there are several matches which makes one suspect.
But this one, "No".
Pakistan were on the verge of victory and with just 5 runs to score off 3 deliveries, Misbah-ul-Haq played the shot which has been so generously used in this 20T Championship with almost 100% success, but the ball was a bit slower than he had anticipated and could not clear the fielder at fine-leg. If he had cleared the fielder by just a few inches, the result would have been the opposite, of course with less deliveries(or no deliveries)to spare.

I believe it this is a game fixed by BCCI/PCB and all admins
concerned. Soon after the WC 2007 debacle, BCCI has lost
revenues and no one cares about Cricket. Hence it is a good
marketing ploy by BCCI and PCB to bring into action.
Wow....when was the last time one saw Gavaskar in the
commentary booth....SRK in the crowd and what not....
India - Pak in the final.....this is a dream come true script
for all desi fans and I strongly believe they have sold the script
very well. Many fans have taken it.
The body language of the players, specially from Pak does
not indicate they truely lost the game. There was no remorse
nor excitement when wickets were falling....
It is more than something fishy.

Hardwork and luck have enabled Indians to win. India deserves to win. I'm proud to be an indian. I love the present Indian cricket team. The match wasn't fixed at all. It was the determination, hardwork and passion of winning that led us to the victory. India completely rocks. India deserves to win completely.

Ohhh....come on stop being so cynical.......grow up.......the match was'nt fixed.......no bookie can tell you to recover from 77/6 to end up in a position wherein you need 13 off one over........the fact is for a change instead of us....Pakistan choked at all the crucial points in the match....and Misbah in the end was very unlucky.....he tried to be too clever, trying to scooping it over fine-leg,whereas a normal shot would have been much better....there was no need to play that shot, 6 off 4 balls was gettable even without hitting another boundary in the over.......and once again stop being so negative.......

there was nothing fishy.
pak had to get a sixer as there was no other go . the ball was bowled in such a way that misbah could not hit a six , but still he tried for it and he got out.
dont find mistakes . enjoy the moment

Ha, your boys choked, get over it. This one was touch and go, but handling pressure is what separates good teams from champion teams.
I find it strange that you would rather look at your boys as cheaters than a great team who gave it their all. Yes, they could have won, and if that shot had connected properly it was an easy 4 or a 6. Didn't happen, thats the nature of the game.

nothing fishy!! India deserved 2 win....Except when Miswah was batting, Pakistani batsmen never show that they could even close 2 win......Actually in most of the time, India was in driver's seat.
Ofcourse if you are a pakistani, u surely won't like that :))
Chak De India........
