I am a full-blooded, patriotic American citizen. Born & raised in the good ole' U.S.A., I take pride in the freedoms that have been afforded and defended for us. I in no way support racism, "scare-rism," or terrorism.

As Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad makes his way to Columbia University this afternoon for this much anticipated interview, we are hearing how despised this man is, coupled with comments admonishing him for his visit to the U.S. in the first place. In case you didn't know, he was denied access to Ground Zero to lay a wreath on the Twin Towers site.

Yes, he hates Israel. Yes, he believes the Holocaust didn't exist. Yes, he supports the old Khomeni's regime of Muslim conservatism. By all conventional American wisdom, he is way out in left field.

Now that he is in America and wishes to establish peaceful dialogue, aren't Americans acting hypocritical regarding "free speech?" If Americans can protest war and curse Bush, can't Ahmadinejad speak?

Yes. I'm trying to find out why he was invited to speak, only to be insulted by the president of the university. That is disgraceful and shameful. Why was he invited to speak? That is so rude, I'm in amazement.

Hypocritical of us..mybe a lill. I admire that this is for educational purposes for the University at hand. We must know what the "enemy" is all about, up front and personal. It is a lil sad that the Iranian President was criticized, but you gotta give the Tyrant some credit for having the Testicular Fortitude to visit the USA. It still didn't change my mind on him and his views. He's gonna need a hug from his mommy after that grilling he recieved..GO BOLLINGER!!!

unfastened speech is an exact bestowed upon US electorate. different worldwide places dictators, especially terrorist sponsoring ones, do no longer fall under the umbrella people constitutional rights. how are you able to state he needs "non violent communique"? in basic terms simply by fact they at the instant are not actual yet words does no longer cause them to non violent. words carry lots greater weight than you already know. He imprisons his very own people who talk out against him. He kidnaps & imprisons non violent, non-militant individuals in his united states of america and holds them captive under fake, made up rates, and we are meant to permit him come to our united states of america, talk his recommendations, and allow him bypass? as a count of actuality that's Ahmadinejad who's appearing hypocritical.

Those rights are for Americans- NO, I don't think he should be here or have the opportunity to speak. He doesn't really want to establish peace with our country- he's a trickster and a terrorist. Anybody who sees him differently is a fool.

I think everyone should be allowed to express themselves freely even if I don't agree with them.
