I design and develop websites and I was wondering if there are some developer tools out there (I heard something about a firefox extension) that allows you to preview sites in multiple browsers from one computer...

Two ways I use, but I'm sure there are others:
(1) ...of course...Make sure you have copies of all three
browsers installed. I didn't mean to insult you by saying that! Know where their executables are. Build your website files in some folder. Go to My Computer. Right-click any file. Open-with...and go find the appropriate executable.
(2) Buy the web page editor WeBuilder (http://www.blumentals.net). It lets you configure browsers for "preview". Add all three browsers. With a click, you can choose a browser for previewing whatever file you're editing at the moment.

You can of course fetch copies of other browsers with either (1) or (2)...I have Opera, Safari-for-Windows, Iceweasel, Amaya, Avant, Netscape.

Well, if you really care about cross-browser compatibility, then you should also care about cross-platform, and at least test on a few Mac browsers.

One good solution in general to this problem is to use virtual machines with the many different OS/browser combinations. Software such as VMWare makes this possible.

The firefox extension referred to is most likely the user agent switcher. This does not give you the full effect of using the actual IE6/7/Opera/Lynx/etc browsers though.

The IE7 uninstallation is going as follows -enable to view hidden records (start up > administration panel > Folder thoughts > View > show hidden records and folders > prepare >ok) -click on start up > Run style right here (there are added areas after to cause them to reveal in this website, you are able to bypass them on an identical time as typing) c: homestead windows ie7 spuninst spuninst.exe press ok, persist with the on-reveal training, after final touch double-click IE to envision that IE6 is working.
