I'd take Miami any time of the year if I was just going to party.
New York will be much cooler to downright cold. If you've never been there, Manhattan can be overwhelming. It's not like there is "a" party place in Manhattan. Manhattan is very expensive.
Miami, the weather will be great. You can go to South Beach and never leave. Great food, bars, women and the beach. You can have a great time in a small area.
Alternative would be to go to Key West. Google Fantasy Fest for an idea of what Key West is like.

I live in nyc if u come in november it wont be to fun because typically its freezing but there are a ton of things to do but november is kind of in between but if u come like thanksgiving time its beautiful but i would def go to miami cause its going to be a lot warmer and its a beautiful place just depends on what ur thing is, if u like to have a cultural diversity experience come to nyc and experience everything but if u wanna go to a beautiful beach and fun in the sun...hit up miami

This is Miami's best season. They'll be tons of hot people in skimpy bathing suits on South Beach.
In NYC it'll be cold and not even the pleasantness of the Christmas/New Years in Manhattan yet.

Depends what your looking for, NYC is is colder of course, but there is alot of great museums, shopping, and culture. plus plenty of nightlife. NYC is much older then Miami, so it has alot more to offer "culture"wise.
Miami is always hot, (born and raised here) if you want to party hard, meet alot of glammed up latina women, go shopping, and great dining then come to Miami. Clubs are all over south Beach but it is expensive! since that may be peak season for Miami.
The weather in November is warm, but swimming in the water at the beach may be chilly.

2 totally different type vacations.
New York is cold. But you can walk for miles,
tons of stuff to do.
Miami is hot beach weather.
Which would you prefer? I love New York
