My middle name is German. I was named after my grandmother.
It is Brigitte (the pronounciation is up to you, brig-gitta, brig-getta, brig-eeta).
It's also the name of one of the children in the Sound of Music.

Aryanna and German make a suspicious mix. Take the "na" off the end, and do some googling.

Is it okay if I have to look some names up? Okay :
Beata (blessed)
Beatrix (same definition as above,I know it's old,but it's still nice-ish)
Brigitte (it's a different version of Bridget)

Bettina and Barbara are German names I like. I would not choose Brigitte, it is very much 1950s. Oh, and Beate is even more so...

My 21-year old baby name book lists:

Binga
Bathilda
Berdine
Brigitte
Birgitta
Brunhilda

I like Binga. It's unusual and sweet-sounding.
