I do, I do!!! And, like you, I am an admisistrative assistant. Only I work for the Federal Government and make damn good money so I can't afford to change positions--and I'm within 5 years of retirement so there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me. What has happened is that I've seen all secretarial types become dinosaurs due to everybody in this day and age being able to use a computer. All I do now is answer phones, make photocopies and proofread. I do absoutely nothing that even borders on the realm of interesting. So secretaries, admin asst's, etc., are obsolete and we are not being replaced as we retire or die. Yes, I am bored to tears and hate my job with a passion--but, even worse, I work for the village idiot who doesn't know as much about our Flight as I do, so I really hate him more than I hate my job.
Nuff said.

I had many jobs throughout my life that I hated. Sometimes things work out where you're stuck there for a while, and other times you get to pursue new opportunities. The economy is pretty good right now, you should be able to find something else.

I have ended up hating, sooner or later, every single job I've ever had. After many years, I've decided they all suck! I just try to remind myself I work to live not live to work and it is the means to an end.
I do my work, I get my check and I go home where my real life begins.

I don't, but I have had many that I have hated. Oh man what misery it is going to a job you hate everyday.
Start looking for another job.....check the online resources, paper, friends, and there are tons of headhunters out there too.
Do your best....smile, even when you don't want to. I imagine you get rude, or crude comments......just smile and find creative ways to deal with things. It won't be forever m'dear.

Most people hate their job even if they like the people they work with. Most of us would give up work tomorrow if we could. There are always things which annoy us in any job - whether it is technology that doesn't work or the office dork!

I am cust care rep for phone company....I want to go home b/c people blame me for their phone service getting turned off when they didn't pay their bill and today I am just sick of it.

I'm an Allstate insurance agent and I despise it. I only stay because I make hella good money.
