I don't want to offend anybody on here but, that's pretty much going against the grain. I know that women generally look down on any man who make less than they do. Does the House-Husband have to listen to everything the wife has to say.

I don't care what anybody says. Women do not respect a man who makes less money than they do. It is only a matter of time before she cheats on him.

Of course its OK to be a house-husband.

If the wife has a better-paying job than the husband, and there are small children who would be better off with a stay at home parent, then why shouldn't Dad be the one to stay home with them? Unless you believe that staying home to raise your children is demeaning, unimportant, and contributes nothing to a family, compared with working outside the home? In which case, I feel really sorry for any kids YOU might have.

And no, women do not generally look down on men who earn less money than they do. Man, I thought those sexist attitudes disappeared in the 1970's. You really are living in the past!

A true partnership involves both people willing to play any position needed to ultimately win the game. Currently I make more money than my man and I do not look down on him at all. He is all man and I respect him. I took on the role of primary breadwinner because I had to at the time for us to survive financially and I have been good at it. That does not diminish the fact that he is intelligent, strong, loving, and my rock. I would be just as comfortable if he made more money than me tomorrow because we are a team not opponents.

I think when two people are in a partnership together, they are working together towards their goal. Who cares what one person makes...they are a team.
