Up at 0.665 m/s

Since the acceleration of the elevator upward is
a
the force acting on an object is
m*(g+a)
since g=9.8 and m=4.3
45=4.3*(9.8+a)

Gravitational force is
Fg = ma = 4.3*9.8=42.14N
Total force is 45N so acceleration of the elevator must be providing the difference of 45-42.14=2.86N Then
a=2.86/4.3=.67 m/s²
