Damn straight they are.

Mitt Romney and Rudy Guiliani MUST attack Hillary Clinton instead of other GOP contenders because, well, what makes them so better. Nothing. Exactly.

Hillary will win, even if most Americans dont fall for the BS that she is "afraid" to speak out against a website that makes true accusations against Bush that is not her perogative to say anything about in the first place (i.e. MoveOn.org).

Since I am not a Republican or a Democrat I couldn't care less either way, but I find it amusing that every Democratic type answer so far continues to spin mercilessly. Look at one answer that says we should ignore official statements in favor of statements made off the record and uncorraborated for factual accuracy beyond the interpretation of reporters. What a crock! Hillary Clinton will not be the president and I will give you my reasons why, but they are provided as opinion only.

1) Every scandal that plagued the Clinton White House will again be frontpage news if she gets the nomination.

2) Hillary Clinton cannot tell a consistent story and constantly changes her message to suit the views of whatever audience she is speaking with at the time. This may work for her with such a large field of candidates, but once she is alone in the spotlight it will be her greatest failing.

3) I have been travelling extensively recently. I have even had the good fortune to spend time in some mostly liberal enclaves like Boston. What I have found from my interactions with many people around the country is that support for Clinton is not as strong as some people would like to believe.

4) Hillary Clinton will not get the overwhelming majority of the female vote. This is for a variety of reasons. One is that women cannot understand how she would stay with Bill after all the infidelity. Another is that polls show that average women view Hillary much as they view male politicians, not as they view other women.

The list goes on and on, but it all leads to the same conclusion. Hillary will not be president. The negatives far outweigh the positives and she is just not going to be able to overcome these simple flaws in her candidacy without a complete Republican meltdown.

I got a kick this morning out of hearing Bush's differing opinions on this. There was his official statement, which said she would be the nominee and lose. Then there was his "off the record" statements to journalists that she would be the nominee and likely win. Since it was off the record they can't quote him directly but are free to paraphrase. Most conservatives will ignore the off the record remarks and concentrate on his official statement. No surprise there.

The worst mistake they will make is underestimating her. Those who think her nomination is their best chance to beat the Democrats are in for a nasty surprise.

Most Republicans don't have a clue about this and the GOP top doesn't want them to find out either.
It's not gonna really sell well if they admitted the truth. That they have given up the white house and are focusing on keeping as many seats as possible in congress and setting themselves up for a good midterms result in 2010.

Ordinary conservative folk can not know, they wouldn't accept reality(thank you fox news and talk radio). They may dream about President Thompson

wow you almost got me there. Good thing I can read or I might have been fooled.

If you are going to spin can you at least put some effort into it and be cleaver?

If hilary did by some freak accident win, I would feel sorry for the male interns becuase the cigar hilary uses will be a tight fit for those boys.

ELWAY care to back up your statement with a link at least the person asking the question posted a link hoping we would not read it to make the question look legit

Bush said Clinton was going to win the nomination but lose the election. Am I upset? No.

Absolutely not. Republicans are hoping that Hillary gets the nomination. Then the election will take care of itself. Unfortunately for the left, she won't stand a chance against Newt.

Hmmm...makes you wonder why he's been buttering her up so much lately. I don't trust him. I think he may be playing some kind of psychological game.

I don't know any Republicans that want Hillary to win the presidential election. I do know they want her to win the Democratic nomination because she will probably be the easiest to beat for the republicans.

Hate to break it to you.

Republicans want Hillary to win the DNC primary because she would be the best motivational force of the GOP to get out to make sure she doesn't win.
