I didn't mean to skip 1 entire week, I called it into the pharmacy, got busy with my son and forgot about it. Now my question is, if I took it for 7 months without ever skipping a day does this mean I can rely on it or do I have to wait another month again (like I did when I first started taking it)? Is my period gonna be messed up or will I start as usual but still be taking the "hormone" pills?

no period should be regular or come a few days after u stopped the pill. if your worried take a pregnancy test before taking the pill again. u may have to start a new pack after u have your period. that's what my doc told me. start the new pack as normal the after your period is over.

Wait a month. 48 hours is the magic window until your body may start to ovulate again, and once its ovulated, you can get pregnant. And it could be messed up when you start again, just like it was brand new, although it'll likely be easier because you are familiar with the medication.

I took Plan B once after missing a couple days over the course of the month, threw me off for the next three months. But sometimes it's completely normal as well, so you never know.

I have been on the pill for 2 years, I ran out of pills before I went for my physical, so I just decided to stop and start again once I got my prescription and my period again. When I went to the doctor she told me that my body could take 3 months to a year to ovulate again.. and you cant start taking the pill again until you get your period. Lucky for me mine came at the regular time and I was able to take my pills again, depending on your body it could take up to a year to get another period.

Just start it fresh today. You don't have to start it with your period. If you don't start it with your period, it just means you'll have to use a second form of birth control for several days. Whether or not your period will be screwed it, depends on the individual.
