So i just recently starting taking birth control. The ones I was taking made me way to emotional so I just recently switched. I already had my period with the last pills around sep. 14. But I'm only on about a 1 1/2 weeks on the new ones and I started my period again two days ago. Along with these I feel faint, small headaches, and an upset stomach every time I eat. Do I need to see a doctor?

yes it is a new dosage. And I've read the small print and looked it up on WebMd. My Doctor said I might spot but this is not spotting at all.

That has happened to me before. I was told that it was just due to my body being wacked out....like switching birth control, or stopping birth control. I think you are okay, but just call your dr over the phone and ask them....that is the only way you will know for sure, and get peace of mind. Just call them instead of going...if they think it is serious when you tell them that over the phone, then they will tell you if you need to schedule and appt or not. That is what I always to not have to pay a co-pay for an uneeded dr. appt. Just call them.

I might suggest calling your doctor to report what you are feeling, but I don't think a visit is necessary. When you switch pills, it's just like starting over again, and you have all the same adjustments to your period, etc. Give the new pill three months to adjust to it. But again, if it's serious, give your doctor a call. She might decide to switch you again, especialy if you're having difficulty eating.

Sounds like your body is just adjusting to the new pills. Are they a different dosage of hormones than your old ones?

Probably not. Switiching to new pills can throw off your system. The news pills are exposing your body to new horomones (or at least a different concentration of the same horomnes) and it takes awhile for your body to get used to them.

Sweety read the fine print in the package, it's probably normal BUT if you have any doubts about the way you're feeling you should just call your doctor. That's what they're for =)
