I have been walking for excersize and about a week ago I think I pulled a muscle on the outside of my left foot. It hurts to walk on it however it just throbs when I am sitting. Any suggestions to make it feel better. I have tried rubbing it, but that does not help.
I do a lot of walking and sitting at my job, so I am willing to try almost anything!!

Please help.

try getting some icyhot to rub on it.. and keep on excersizing.... it isnt going to get any better by staying off of it... that could make the pain last longer...

If it is an injury older than 48 hours, use heat. If it is a newer injury, use ice. That's all that you can really do: hot or cold compressions. The muscle itself has to heal. It shouldn't hurt longer than a week. If so, I suggest, you go see a healthcare provider. You may have torn the muscle. Also, take an antiinflammatory/pain reliever such as Aleve or Advil.

There is a way to make it better. A chiropractor can help.

In the mean time, put ice on the injured area to cool it and reduce any inflamation. 20 minutes twice per day should help. And get some rest.

I would usually just massage the pain and wait for it to go away.

My aunt had the same problem as you a couple years ago. She just relaxed and rested for a couple weeks. I don't think she took any medication for it, but she may have rubbed some ointment on her legs.
