Youbetcha! I always said I'd keep my job, long as they'd let me...
'Cause I intended to start doing my job the way - I - thought it should be done...
(Let's see, we started our day at 8:05 am...
I figured to be there as late as 10:00/10:30 am....!)
Uh-huh... }:>

Honestly, gloating would be the LAST thing I would do! Why would I want a WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE to know I've won the lottery, so I can be subject to constant begging, pleading, sob stories and potential blackmailing/extortion plots?

I'd hire a lawyer, get a blind trust, and that's that. My wife, daughter and I would move into a new house not far from our old one, and none would be the wiser, because I wouldn't spend the money on frivolous crap! Instead of a Bentley or Lamborghini, I'd get a Pontiac G6 and a Saab Convertible. I'd blend in as best as possible.

It is probably their personality type. Winning the lottery doesn't change how they are, so when they quit the job they've always hated, they simply don't know what to do. If they were the sort of people who knew what they'd do and could occupy their themselves, then they'd have most-likely already quit that job. Likewise, many lottery winners say they'll start their own business. But let's face it, if they were the type of people to run their own business or do their own thing, they would be doing it already.

some do, some don't

I read that the best way to stay "grounded" after winning the lottery was to keep your day job

that way you don't go and spend all your money on crazy things and end up broke!!

BUT i would keep working for awhile and then put in my notice.. .that way noone would know i won the lottery!

No~ I
would be outta there so quick my chair would be spinning,
Most people don't like there jobs and most only work because they have to, so if you get 140 million dollars wouldn't you bounce out?

♥ I'd keep my job... just because I won the lottery doesnt mean that I'd want to turn into a lazy slob that doesnt wanna work... I would however take a month off to travel and relax. I need a good vacation. :-)

My plan WHEN i win, is to see how long i can keep it a secret, while making plans and buying myself a few extravagant things that will make people think i've lost my mind...i'm horrible at keeping secrets though....
