It's not enough to break the arrow (craving); one must extract it, carefully & with clear vision.
It has poison, too (ignorance). Which must be removed.
The wound must (be allowed to) heal. (By guarding the senses).
Good Question, Miss. :-)
Thanks for the reminder. :-)

Once we fall into the spell of love (like being struck with that 'Cupid's arrow'), everything around us changes. Our hearts suddenly practice romanticism; taken to some celestial dream with lovely prose and poetry. We become intensely affected by the other person's existence and dream to being coupled with that person someday.
To break that wonderful spell sometimes takes ages; at times even 'longer than forever' as the song goes. The power to break it doesn't lie in our hands,..but in TIME. Only time will prove how weak or strong that "arrow" is;..and it breaks by itself if it can't hold on with the forces of passion and desire that come inevitably along lovers' way.

Eros wants the true love; if not, he breaks the arrow; however people could not spell because there are afraid of the true love. Find the true love and you will break the spell.

Is all about choices... You choose to be infatuated with someone... sometimes the easiest way to break that spell is to direct your focus on someone else

Just walk in on your partner taking a dump (or vice versa). That's it, romance gone. Mental picture established firmly in your mind and arrow broken. he he

Rena, i shall give you a simple solution. Substitute the Greek word "Agappe" for the present Greek word "Eros". Erose is desiring love, and Agappe is giving love such that of God!
