When Hillary says the rich what she means is corporate America, which means if they are paying in more for taxes they will need to make cuts which will come in the form of lower payed employess, which will raise the unemployment rate. Which in turn means the government with all the new tax money they have will be able to stick more money into social programs for the recently unemployed employees. And what better way to control your citizens then with "FREE" money, and "FREE" socail programs?

Are these liberals in here this stupid?
"Anyone who makes over 250K a year?"
Try anyone who has a job.
Corporations don't pay taxes, they pass them on to us.
I honestly can't believe all the libs in here actually believe the complete copy cat droning from Clinton's or Kerry's mouths.
Either they have never worked a day in their lives under a Clinton regime or are ignorant as all heck.

Let me see if I can answer this logically. There is an income level which is considered the "boundary". Below this level people live below the poverty level and are poor. If you live above it, then you are not poor so you must be rich.
in 2006 the "povery level was defined as follows
One person (unrelated individual).... 10,294
Under 65 years....................... 10,488
So if you make more than 10,488 dollars a year, you are rich.

Last election John Kerry referred to the rich as anyone making over $200,000 a year. I think that its bsafe to assume that is what she defines as the rich, who should have to pay more and not be protected by the right wingers who make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer.

More of us than there used to be before the tax cuts - she doesn't just want to soak the rich, she wants to prevent more people from BECOMING rich because then they're not dependent on government for their next meal.
Why do you think they've switched issues to "healthcare" and amnesty? No matter how rich you are you could become sick, and they're trying to convince you that the increase in uninsured people in the US means "millions of people are losing their insurance and you could be next" rather than explaining that the Census Bureau counts the POPULATION including illegal immigrants and like the poverty numbers the health insurance numbers include illegals and their children - whom the Dems want to sign up as citizens - - - AND REGISTER TO VOTE - - - so that they can re-create the dependent class / voter bloc they had until the 1980s...
zeldar you're wrong, tax revenue is up (see my 1st attachment), and the share of taxes paid by higher-income Americans is also up. The top 1% pays about 1/3, the top 5% pays about half, the top 20% pays about 80% of federal income taxes. And over the last 15 years their shares of taxes have increased by more than their shares of the national income. So, aren't we already "soaking the rich?"

Certainly, socialists, like Hillary, who are in government will be exempted, under the socialist rule- kinda like Teddy Kennedy was exempted from investigation and prosecution when he drove Mary Jo off the bridge and she drowned (manslaughter, at the very minimum). You see, we can't have our government officials held up to such scrutiny. However, it's alright to scrutinize Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez- any Republican.
