What age does girl scouts start? Daisys-Brownies-Girl Scouts-Cadets?

Just to correct, starting with the 2008-2009 GS year, the levels will actually be:
Girl Scout Daisy: Kindergarten-1st grade
GS Brownie: grades 2-3
GS Junior: grades 4-5
GS Cadette: grades 6-8
GS Senior: grades 9-10
GS Ambassador: grades 11-12
Cadettes will be the only level that's 3 years long. (But there will be some transition time, so be like someone flips a switch next fall and everyone moves into the new age levels - goodness knows that'll probably take a good five years the way people resist change... ;-)

Daisies are 5-6, Brownies are 6-8, Juniors are 8-11, and Scouts are 11-17.

About 2-3 years ago, they changed Cadette and Senior levels to "Girl Scouts 11-17." Quite a mouthfull. And they added a new program, Studion 2B, with $5 charms instead of $1 patches.
Except - in 2008, it will all change:
Girl Scout Daisy grades K-1
Girl Scout Brownie grades 2-3
Girl Scout Junior grades 4-5
Girl Scout Cadette grades 6-8
Girl Scouts Senior grades 9-10
Girl Scout Ambassador grades 11-12
And yes, they want the words "Girl Scout" to go first.
