India won the first ever T20 World Cup. History says whenever we Indian start playing the inaugural game we generally win. As an example we were the Hockey King when Hockey playing nation were less, we were good football team in the earlier 50s'. So, we should not be so excited after winning this T20 world cup. We must continue the same focus while playing upcoming one day internationals and tests. It's true that the young guns has done the trick but upcoming series with Australia and Pakistan, somewhere old foxes are required in the team. As Australia suffered without MacGrath and Ricky Ponting, South Africa suffered without Jaquis Kallis, Pakistan without Md Yousuf etc. etc. So boys held your nerves and play the upcoming game with the same jeal and exubirance. Good luck.

first of all "congratulations" team **india**...
commin to the point::: team india was in the great form of the game especially with the bat and fought veryy hard in all the games (with pakistan in group stage, with newzealand fallin 10 runs behind, with england smashing them for the highest indian total and last but not the least giving the way for the hosts back to rest where we had 50-50 chance of sitting on the semifinal birth).after that we smashed australia to an enthralling victory for entering the first ever final with the rivals pakistan after a gap of more than 24 years........
we were not up to the mark in the finals--->>where players failed with the bat but gambhir came hard improvising the opportunity.pakistan really bowled well and when came for batting.. the openers really did well nd but in the upper middle order the wickets fell very cheaply and once again misbah proved what he is nd batted well under difficult and pressured situations. But in the last it was the luck which saved us(INDIA).... as we know that "FORTUNE ALWAYS SAVES THE BRAVE"......so its not the matter how india won.but its the thing "INDIA DID IT ONCE AGAIN" trashing all the major countries in the world.soooo keep rockin "INDIA" 3 cheers for you......
hip hip hurray

all the best for the future

It was quite unbelievable as no one had given any chance to india to enter Super 8 level as Indian Team was least experienced. What is more memorable is that on the way to win the cup, they defeated strong opponents England, South Africa, Australia and Pakistan without any defeat in the last 4 matches played by them.

Whoa !!!! Phew !!! My heart almost gave slip. My wife just ran off from me the moment she realised that Sreesanth had caught the ball sending Misbah and the Pakistani team packing off. She knew what my excitement level would be and the reaction that can be expected of me. She has already suffered my excitement in our early days of marriage. An Indian win, especially over Pakistan, would take not only me, but the whole of the Billion strong Indians to a level of excitement that is for sure cannot be controlled by any force in this world. The celebrations that are still going on around the country are best proof of this. It's been more than 4 hours since the match has been won, but the excitement of the win is still unabated in me. Give a thought to TEAM INDIA's excitement. Sleep is a far off thing for me at this moment. So what might be their condition.

I almost missed the winning moment, just like the Bowl Out, when I switched off the television with 2 balls and 1 run remaining to be scored. The next morning my wife, to my astonishment woke me up and told that India had won. I was just shell shocked to believe it. It took me almost an hour that day for me to believe that India had pulled off a stunner. Today also, I almost changed the channel when Misbah hit the ball behind Dhoni. I initially thought that either it was a six or a four which was sealing the fate of the match in favour of the Pakistanis. But somehow I held back and when I realised that Sreesanth was underneath the ball I held all my breath for a fraction of a second as the reality sunk into me and let out a deafening cry of joy that I thought was being made by some one outside. At precisely the same moment, my wife who was beside me till that moment backed off from me knowing what would come off me the next moment. But some how I grabbed, lifted and swirled her in air in that moment of joy unable to control my emotions.

Initially though I was not excited about this tourney, the league match against Pakistan has some how stirred an iota of interest in me which has spread to the whole of body by the end of the semi final where India beat the best of the cricketing world, the Australian team.

This tourney has rejuvenated the shattered Indian cricket. A billion plus prayers have turned into as a billion plus blessings to Dhoni's team. A word of special praise has to be given to Dhoni for the guts that he has shown in utilizing his resources and for the belief and support that he has shown towards his team mates.

HATS OFF TO THE INDIAN TEAM

A fantastic achievment.
The most inexperienced team in this shortest version of the game (as India had played only ONE International Twenty20 before the ICC World Cup) came out with flying colours.
A complete team effort AND victory of the youth.

Its an amazing win displayed by INDIAN team especially after 2007 world cup in WEST INDIES.After that INDIA has played as a team and they never looked back. One of the most important fact of this win is that there were whole bunch of youngsters who played really well when mattered and showed that INDIA,s future is in safe hand. and one more amazing this is that this team won without any coach. Credit should be given to dhoni and his boys and they proved that INDIA can play well with the absence of FAB3 also. CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM INDIA.
