Ahhh a friend like you!
Orange juice for a cold, ginger ale for the flu, soup for both. I especially like those soup at hands by campbells like the chicken and mini noodles so I don't have to anything but take the lid off and warm up in the microwave.

How about some flowers; a few magazines that she might like to read; her favorite dessert; or, just be yourself and be there for her. Hold her hand and reassure her that everything will be OK and that she will be fine. I live alone, and have no family at all, I would give anything to have someone stop by and just sit and talk with me when I am not feeling well.

This is silly, but whenever I'm sick I always want a straw in my glass. lol I don't know why, its just always something my mom did. lol Maybe so I could drink my water without having to even lift my head off of the pillow. lol I know, that's silly. hehe...
