One day, a coworker at the casino threatened to "get" me. He was fired, and the casino manager assigned a security guard to take care of me.

Doggone guard would not let me get up to get a cup of coffee in the break room without him walking between me and the door.... When had to use the ladies room, the guard wanted to go in there with me. I talked him into standing outside the door and waiting for me.

Guard was right there while I worked. Right there if I stopped to talk with someone. Right there when I ate lunch.... it was awful. One day of that and I was ready to scream.

Would you like your own guard to watch over you? How do you suppose celebrities manage to live that way full time?

Interesting, I would say I'd probably feel important, but after a while it would feel kind of like:
"Get outta here and let me live!!!!!"

I would love the personal security. Yeah it might be a little over the top for them to come in the bathroom but i would send him in before me to check it out, then wait outside the door. Celebrities probably don't mind since they know its a chance a fan or stalker could really hurt them. Plus people are crazy these days I would love to have a body guard in a normal life status.

I guess I always thought I'd like that. It would be like someone always there to help you whenever you needed it. Like I'd love it if someone was always there to drive me around, carry my heavy bags, cook for me, do errands for me, the list is endless. I kind of think it would be so nice to be able to lean on someone all the time and have them look out for my best interests. But when I read your post, I see another side of that, and now I'm thinking that maybe it would get to be a bit much after a while. Like "leave me alone" or something. Interesting question.

No-- I would not....

I have a concealed - carry permit and a Smith & Wesson .38 Police Special in a red leather holster tucked into the waistband of my skirt.
When I was 15 I was ranked 5th in the nation for accuracy with a hg.

I couldn't stand someone following me around......

Maybe you should have just put a PFA out against the guy and be done with the body guard.

Miyuki is my lover and bodyguard, since she is good at karate. I do not need one, since I am a 360 and powelifter and martial artist. once, 5 guys attacked me at a bar. i beat the **** out of all of them. they were drunk and annoyed about something. Who that was sane and sober would attack someone like me? having bdyguards would be a burden, so i am glad i need none...except Miyuki.

i guess it would be good for security
but it would get annoying having someone there all the time to check up on you and i'd want more privacy !
so im happy w/out one =]
