It's a race... they use both sides. How often do you see traffic coming the other way in a race?

Tell your 'girlfriend' it is a race track, not a street with cars going both ways. Al lcars are going the same way, so the line is not important, most tracks don't have lines anyway. Monte Carlo does have lines, but the road is closed during the race so nothing but race cars are on it, so it doesn't make any difference which side they are on. They try to go wherever it is fastest, a straight line if they can, so they will move to the left side of the road on a right hand curve then move over and end up up back on the left hand side as the curve ends. This makes for as straight a line as possible.

LOL bless her cotton socks. Due to the fact that most of the time the cars are going in the same direction, they use both sides

They don't use any particular side of the road, as the races are held on private race tracks........... so they use both sides, depending on which gives them the fastest "racing line" into the next corner.

it's a race track, not a highway! There is no "right" side of the road!

Tell her, either side, because it's a one way system on the race track, so it doesn't matter!

They only drive on one line, the track's racing line. Are you sure it's not you asking the question?
