I have nothing against you or anybody here either. I'm here to impart knowledge. I'm not here to gain points, gain best answers, etc. This is a fun thing to me.

I do wish you would think, research more before you type sometimes. It's great to see young people with knowledge, but sometimes you come across a bit abrasive. Yu need to tone it down abit and strive for a little more accuracy sometimes. I do read almost all your answers though.
Chris, it's called experience. When you do something for so long, it becomes a part of you. You're only a teenager, as time goes by, things should get easier for you.
Cyren, you know more than stats, I've heard you chat with the guys around here. It's easy to see you have a Ph.D (it's in genetics people - he's that smart).
Mike, thanks for the compliments. I still think you need to go find some video tapes featuring Plante and Sawchuk and Hall, I think you'll be in for a real treat. It's great to see young people take an interest in the history of the game.
Bob, again, I appreciate the compliment as well. I go through the answers every day and always stop to read yours as well (as well as Zapcity, Snoop, formerlysuspendedguy, 2Eighty8, and a few others). It is always good to see the insight that others bring. I hope all of you continue to do so.
CME, I want to thank you for your questions and humour. It's always good to read you an PuckDat as it makes me laugh, and you both seem to remember my era!
As for my answers being Private. After getting several 'hate' emails, I decided to shut them off. For the most part, you can read my answers by reading the questions. I can't help if people pick me as the best answer, or people vote my answers bets. The vast majority of my best answers have been chosen by the askers...and I think that speaks for itself. So, it's up to the asker to give me best answer, it's not like I ever asked for it (or being a top contributer)
But as I said, it's not a contest, I feel I have information/opinions to offer and I'll offer it. I can be opinionated. I can act like an angry parent too!
I try and write answers that answer the question, and provide a little insight into why I answered that way instead of just saying yes, or no, etc.
Anyway, it's dinner time!

If you£In the event that you} knew a high doing football team was enjoying an underperforming one, the obvious bet would be on the best performing team. But imagine if your selected team just sidelined their three most useful participants through new injuries could they be such a solid competitor to win that fit now? Zcodes System, from here https://tr.im/2IwMy , provides you with all that type of information to be able to have greater chances of winning the bets.
The activities in Zcodes System are chosen in order that enable you to take part in high quantity betting at bookies because of their recognition and are opted for applying around 80 various parameters that govern each game such as: person conditions, accidents, group selection, home or out group, goalies, previous performance, believed future performance, instructors, activities, significance of fit, rivalries and a great deal more
This really is in which a little knowledge can and more often than not will derail you and where a large amount of in-depth, as much as the moment information may allow you to a winner. Time and time again.

I have picked him for best answer for my last 3 questions. He does know his sh!t, lol. Notice how the best answers are being given by the askers, not the voters. You can't cheat if the asker gives the best answer. You do see someone cheating if they get best answer after voting, and if the have like 7 votes and the next answer has 2. That means someone is voting for his own answer with several accounts. But "Like I'm Telling you..." has to be the most knowledgeable guy here. That's why he gets best answer all the time. Check out his answer to my Q here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Au4ZUERAurMmQ_eNTQ1UT3Hsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070923210440AAxTxdH

Seriously though, as far as hockey knowledge and hockey history go, "Like I'm..." and "cyrenaica" are the most knowledgeable hockey guys here. They both work for the NHL. As far as actually playing hockey, like gameplay, and equipment and stuff, zapcity29 is most knowledgeable about that stuff.
~~
Oh, I see cyrenaica. Still, you do know a lot about stats and numbers and stuff like that.

Leave me outta this, I'm just a poor stats and trivia guy using the NHL to write a couple of books (and the poor sap who happens to personally know him).
He's an interesting guy, and he knows his stuff, and he doesn't mind sharing it.
I do feel bad for all of you because I showed him this site and now he's a monster.
Mike
I don't 'work' for the NHL unlike 'Like I'm Telling You' (and I honestly have no clue what he does - and there are other retired scouts, players, etc who hang around and get paid). I did work for the league in the 80s and early 90s in a part-time role.
Currently I am using the NHL, NHLPA, and the HHOF to aid in researching a couple of books I'm writing. So, I have access to their statistical data, and every once in a while get to interview people. One of the books deals with aspects of the NHL draft (to be published in 2009), and I was introduced to some scouts.....such as you know who.........to interview them, get some behind the scenes information, etc. Every once in a while, I will do some contract work for the league when people go on vacation.
But as far as knowledge, I don't have the stories, nor have I met Bettman (I met John Ziegler once), nor have I sat in dingy junior rinks all across Canada.
Based on all the scouts I've talked to......not the job for me.

That's what happens when you know your schiznit. Best contributor in this section and deserves all the best answers he gets.
It does bother me too that his answers are set on private but just because I like to read his Q and A's, but that is his business, not mine.
Theoretically, every question he answers qualifies as best answer.
Also, he steers clear of controversial questions and questions from dim wits. A wisdom I have not yet mastered. I have been known to like to stir the pot a little though.

Yeah, where's he get off basing his answers on fact in the first place? I have to sit here and dream up most of my b.s.. Err, I mean, create my own facts, yeah, thats it.
Knowledge gives him such an unfair advantage, lets revolt!!!
Giving clear concise answers with statitical data to back it up is a concept beyond my means in 76% of the questions 8.5 times out of 10 as recongized by 83% of respondants in a recent survey. A survey this size claims no accuracy what so ever.

look at his answers dude, everyone of them deserves to be a best answer. he is an asset to this section. I was sketched out about him at first too. his claims about being a former Black hawks scout seamed doubtful, but with his knowledge of hockey there is no doubt in my mind that he is legitimate. You the user however I'm not so sure about.
