The person of contact at a company we did work for, has alledgedly filed for bankruptcy. The company is no more and we are trying to locate that person, since he stated that he would make sure we got paid for the work we did.

Get your claim into the bankruptcy administrator .
If there are any funds ,
That will be your one chance to recover something .
