When people you don't want to speak to and haven't spoken to for years suddenly re-enter your life?

For me it sure does.

It may be embarrassing to meet someone who you've been trying to avoid; it might even be irritating to have to spend a short time in their company, but I can't see that it should annoy you. After all, even after a gap of years, you are still likely to have acquaintances in common, so you ought to expect to run into people now and again.

Just grin and bear it. It won't hurt you to be formally polite for an hour or so.

I hate it when you see someone from the past that you didnt like and all of a sudden they pop back up and act like you are best friends! Uhhh I wasnt your friend then and I'm not going to be your friend now! I hate that!

Sure does and they should take the hint. If I'm not making an effort to keep in touch it's because I don't care to keep in touch.

It happened to me recently. I felt strange and the connection I had with that person(was my best friend btw) was lost forever. I felt bad, angry at times, but mostly indifferent...

Specially when it is a wedding or a funeral and suddenly everyone you have avoided for years are there pretending they have missed you . I hate two-faced-ness.

Well it doesn't annoy me, more makes me wonder what they are after.

They want something. Shut them out, delete their mails and carry on as you were.
