Voodoo is a religion. The use of "voodoo dolls" has been overemphasized by Hollywood. Many earth based religions use a doll like form to represent a person that is not able to be physically there during healing rituals. How much you believe that they can be used to heal or harm you is subjective.

The dolls are real dolls. Voodoo is a real belief, but that is as far as it goes.

Absolutely! The dolls, or poppets, are just another form of sympathetic magic. They do work and are--like voodoo--very real.

Voodoo is a real form of religion.
Voodoo dolls rate right up there with money from the Tooth Fairy, Chocolate eggs from the Easter Bunny, and gifts from Santa Claus.
If you REALLY cold make a doll in someone's likeness and control them or cause them harm, would guns and war be necessary?
