They said to me twice: "I didn't do it" with a straight face, clear eyes and honest looking demeanor (and almost in tears), then I told them they would do less time if they responded to the officer on the phone. So they got on the phone with the officer and told (part of) where they did it, when they did it, and how they did it. Strangely enough they sat down for a minute, got up and made a phone call to the officer and added more information. Then I went to my car, opened the trunk, and there was the (partial) proof that they did do it. I lost most of everything I owned.

With the same person.....I got him into college same time that I was going to college, and I paid all his expenses (but at different schools, one was on the way to get to the other school). I'd drop him off and pick him up for all his course days. On my days off I'd take him to school and wait on him, he would go into the classroom with the other students and come out with the other students. Inbetween time I'd go for dinner. The end of the course came, he was supposed to take finals but made excuses that he had to work. So I called his school asking if he could take his final at another time. To my shock (after taking him for 14 weeks to school, 3 times a week) the instructor said, "are you sure lady? are we talking about the same person?" because the only time he's been in class was the very first day, he never was in class the other 40 sessions" (I can't tell you how embarrassed I was, confused, perplexed, let down, lied to, etc.)......that was the guy's second huge lie of the century.

naturally, a divorce occurred soon thereafter. I was young back then...and I've learned my lesson. Looks can be deceiving.

a guy who i was going out with told me his dad had died in a car accident with him sitting in the back - he made up this whole story about how he had distracted his dad whilst driving which caused the accident - and that they had to be cut out of the wreckage

he was crying and everything - i really fell for it - he told me that was the reason why he had never learned to drive

after a couple of months i went to a do with him and his sister and her boyfriend - it was only the first or second time i had met his sister

during the evening i was chatting to the girl whilst we were dancing and she mentioned how happy her brother looked and how happy he seemed to be with me

i said oh that's great because i know he's had a tough time with what happened with your dad and everything and how much it affected him - she replied yes it was a terrible time it's awful when parents divorce!

it turned out his parents had divorced years before, the dad wasn't dead he had just lost touch with the family

i tell you it was all i could do to not dump the bloke there and then - unfortunately the sister and bf were staying at mine that night but as soon as they went the next day i let him have it

typing this out makes me realise what a tosser the guy really was - it still makes my blood boil to think he played on my sympathies like that

that's probably the worst lie anyone has ever told me - and the most convincing - how he thought he would never be found out i don't know

My habitual liar of a (soon to be ex) partner has told many, including that he owned an 8 bed house (it belonged to his brother), he owned a building business in London with about 20 employees, he has/hasn't been engaged before, he is buying his parents house at a huge discount (they are still there). He even lied to me when he knew 100% that I knew he was lying. Wierd man - and a college lecturer too!!!

Well apart from marriage vows which my ex decided not to keep and the standard no I am not having an affair. The fact that he planned to move us to another country without even asking didn't go down very well !! And there are far too many lies to even count on two hands !!

My biological father told me my mother tried to kill him. He's a dead-beat man and I couldn't believe that he would even tell his small children that. I can NEVER forgive him, my mom is a sweet woman and was bullied and abused for years by him. I can't believe he even had the nerve.

OMG...it happened this morning. My boyfriend promised to come down here this winter because that's what we always do, starting three years ago, we always see each other during winter. But he lied! Today he said he changed his mind and wanted to spend the money fixing up his place. I can't come over there though -.-
