I apologize if it gets stuck in your head. Why was the young Michael Jackson singing about a rat? And WHY was this a hit song?

Mountain...I liked it when it came out, too. I had a pet mouse. Looking back now it seems comical that it was so popular.

It was the beginning of a long rodent to ruin for the moon walking gloved one. Now, he should just beat it because he's bad. Not even Billie Jean can save him now.

it was from a movie. Michael had pet rats when he was younger. Go watch "The Jacksons, An American Dream". I think the song is cute.

Yep, stuck in my head now, thanks. And I have no idea why he was singing to a rat and who knows why it was a hit song. Everything he did back in the day was a hit. Now all he does is freak people out. We should've see the red flag then when he was singing to a rat.

I think it was the theme song to "willard," a movie about a boy who directed rats to wreak vengeance upon people who had bullied him. Great song.
