I am a gay and have not yet come out.I live in a country in which homosexuality is illegal. I am not all interested in girls.I have no interest in marrying a girl.I have no spirit in building up a rich career because I think I dont want so much money for one person(me). Is it that career of gays spoiled because they are born that way?

If you are asking if Gays cannot be successful in a career you might look at people like Tom Ford, Elton John, Pick-A-Pope, B.D. Wong, Harvey Milk, etc. etc. etc.

On a more personal level, all of my friends are very successful in a wide variety of fields. From Theatre to Fortune 500 Business...if anything we drive ourselves to be better than others, always looking to prove a point to someone...which is not a good thing, but probably on some level true. We've been told that we are not good enough all of our lives...and we go out and prove that, no, we are not good enough, we are better.

Gay or not, you need to find SOME way of supporting yourself. Unless the career path you pick is "male prostitute who only services women," no job opportunity is closed to you. What is your passion? What do you enjoy doing? The only limits on what you can achieve are the limits you put on yourself. You don't have to become Bill Gates but you don't have to settle for menial labor, either.

You might want to at least try getting a professional life going that will afford you the opportunity to move to a country were homosexuality isn't punishable under the law. I realize this is easier said than done but it sounds like your viewpoint regarding a professional career is being clouded by the fact that your country does not accept your lifestyle.

You have some hard decisions ahead of you. Some people in your situation stay in the closet all their lives. Some come out and work to try to change their laws. Some have been arrested or sacrifices their lives to do this. Others decide they have to live in a place where they can be free to be who they are now - and leave their country.

Gay men are often very successful and rich because they work hard at what they do and only have themselves to support. I don't think their career chances are spoiled at all.

You can set your goal at making enough money to emigrate to a country that does not discriminate against gays. You can also consider becoming so rich and powerful that you can influence your own country to come to so its senses and change its ways.

Lots of successful artists, writers, statesmen, athletes, and businessmen have been gay, some known to the world as gay and some who kept their sexuality secret, for political reasons or for professional reasons.

In a sense, your "country" is the community of gay people throughout the world, millions of us, not the geographical country that hems you in. Try to draw your strength from that idea while you grow and become successful in whatever area you choose. Best wishes.
