Emotions are contagious so if you are depressed, people around tend to pick it up too. However, people who don't want the vibes you are sending around will just avoid you.

I just have to have a small lol that a question about a flood would come from an avatar with the name of noah on it... so, small lol !
Regarding the emptiness in my heart... if such an emptiness is there (and I assume we're talking about the mind, or soul or something)... I'm unaware of it. I just tried a mental shout and heard no echoes. There are undoubtedly some little corners that have been abandoned for so long they filled with dust or something, no longer in use at all... but the general thing, my "heart," seems to be in fine working order, full of stuff from the frivolous to the very fine indeed.
What I hope "floods" people around me is a sense that I'm pretty content with life as is at this time, and that the contentment effects them in a positive way. I called two good friends just to say good morning before opening the 'puter, and that was fun and good. That's my day so far...

My heart isn't empty; it is full of blood under considerable pressure.
And it doesn't flood the people around me because my circulatory system contains it quite nicely.

Yes, and especially at the moment - I feel like a living piece of tissue that walks around and spread my poisonous emptiness to everybody I encounter... I know it sounds sad but I feel more than empty, more like numb - smiling on the outside a huge black hole on the inside... And apparently it's contagious.

no I try not to flood my friends and loved ones with my major crisis-es hehehe they can not handle it they are and can be weaker then me because I tend to be pretty strong :)))

i dont know about emptyness but when i was a telemarketer i talked to alot of angry mean people and sometimes i would feel full of anger myself so i believe we all feed off of each other.
