So I'm 18 and all of my friends are 17, about less than or a little more than a year younger than me. They want me to buy them a hotel room but I have been really iffy about it. What could happen to me if I bought them the hotel room and they got caught for being too loud and caught with alcohol or something like that? I'm not going to do this for them because I don't feel like having a criminal record, but what would have happened if I did? Thanks.

Depends on the state, but Contributing the the Delinquency of a Minor, conspiracy to violate underage drinking laws, and, if any sex was had, conspiracy to rape.

Go to jail. Get out when you're old. Bad outcome, bad idea.

You will be held responsible for any damages to the room. If they get caught with booze, it's on them.

I did this quite a bit when I was younger. The trick is to rent 3 rooms, all in a row, at a cheap motel. Party in the middle one. The other two are off limits. That way, no one hears the party. And...if you want to sneak off with a lady friend...you've got an empty room.

it all depend on what they do in the hotel room and if they get cought or not. if they didnt then ur going to be OK. but, if they did something bad then u have a big problem. If there have any damage to the hotel then u have to pay for it. if they have drag or alcohol or gun then u many have jail time and/or ur government record may not b soo good any more.

Well, you would certainly be liable if they caused any damages.

I don't see any law against getting them a hotel room, but something tells me they don't want the room to play charades. If they are caught with alcohol you could certainly be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

You could also be liable if one of them were to drink and drive and kill or hurt someone or themselves as you would be considered the host.

You'd be liable.

And when legal trouble comes..

As Darth Sidious said in Star Wars: A Parody

"Oh I'm afraid it's been signed..."

(I.E. You're screwed.)

No way should you do that. You are responsible for EVERYTHING they do in the hotel and that responsibility extends to them in their cars on their way home if you've provided them a place to drink though you're underaged yourself.

You are correct. You signed, you would be responsible for whatever happens in that room. This would include any property damages to the room. Don't do it.
