Rats... rats.. THE RATS!!!!! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE MAN!!! GET 'EM OFF ME!!!! GET 'EM OFF!!!!!!
Oh - sorry. I was bad trippin' about the last shuttle mission I went on, and the RATS that were hiding in there man. Nobody else saw them, but I know they were there. They were all over, man! And some of them made it back to earth, and are now following m - wait! Shhhhhh!.... You hear that? It sounds like - no - no, it can't be! They've found me! THE RATS!!!!!!!

No the closest was Apollo 7 an Earth orbit mission. Those three cranky rats all caught colds, got real rude,were grumpy, refused to follow orders, refused to put their helmets on for reentry and were grounded permanently.
Wally had already announced his retirement but the other two never flew in space again.

There were no LIVING organisms on the moon lander except the astronauts. I don't know who told you there were rats onboard, but they didn't know what they were talking about
