I can't speak for others but personally I love my country and don't hate the president at all. I strongly disagree with the president but that doesn't mean I hate him. I tend to agree with Republican President Theodore Roosevelt regarding this issue.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt

It is quite obvious by you asking this question in the way that you have that you agree with the following:

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

Is Herr Goering one of your idols? One certainly would think so by your question and assumptions you are making.

We flaming and unapologetic liberals do not hate our president or our country. We do not attack the armed forces. WE LOVE FREEDOM (of speech in particular) AND DEMOCRACY.

But make no mistake about it - Bush, Petraeus and the others do not belong to some kind of untouchable "Club of Gods." When criticism is merited, it will be handed out. We learned our lesson after Powell (who most people believed to be a decent man) lied to us.

Hates neither. I have been extremely disappointed in GW Bush though. All of his talk prior to being elected the first time has been nothing more than the same political BS that we hear time and time again. Bush has done nothing to advance the US here at home or overseas. In fact his actions have disgraced the US worldwide and placed us in even more danger.

The President obviously. If that was supposed to be a clever question you didn't do a very good job. Plus, all caps is just annoying.

It would have to be the president I hate because he will only be in office for so much longer and I know that US will get better once Bush is gone.!

What I really hate is people that try to lump other people into specific categories based on what they hear on pundit television. It shows a total lack of objectivity and critical thinking.

Valid question. Hate the president. Love America.

I love both..but I'm not a liberal.
Anyone who says Bush is not their president should leave the country immediately because they are not AMERICAN citizens. Bush is the American President. Not just the republicans president.
