When trying to connect a pc to the wireless router it will not connect.
If I use my dongle which came with the unit it works fine, but my laptop has a wireless card and always comes up with 'limited connectivity'
I have checked all the passwords and such but have been told by a friend that I should get a different router as the Virgin media one only allows one I.P. address.

Is this correct or do I need to contact Virgin Media?

If it is a wireless router then it will support more then one IP address. If it is just a wireless modem then yes it will only support one IP address. Just purchase a router and connect it to your modem, and turn off the radio in the modem.
