…any particular political party?

Moveon.org like Swift Boat, is a group of people exercising their right to free speech. Why don’t people comprehend this fact? Don’t you think that Moveon.org and Swift Boat are nothing more than lobbyists speaking for their “Special Interest Groups”?

Repubs like the idea of free speech only when it serves their purpose (like SwiftBoat). MoveOn.org did nothing more than exercise their same right to free speech. I have seen nothing from the Repubs denying or discrediting what MoveOn.org had to say. They simply attack the fact they said what they did about a general. The fact that he is a general makes no difference in the right that MoveOn.org has in stating their opinion.

Republicans talk a mean game of democracy, can't seem to handle the result, which is that people have the right to express opinions.

They accuse dems of being sore losers... now that the Republican war strategy has thoroughly lost credence among the overwhelming majority of Americans, they cry that their little General Petreus publicity stunt led to justifiable doubt about it's honesty.

The Republicans refuse to accept the facts here. Americans see through the war, and have real reason to distrust any leader who began by saying, in 2000:

I will not leave debt, or a war for any future president or the american people.

Then turned around and INSTANTLY did that.

Screw the Rebublican crybabies.

And say, isn't it the Commander and Chief's job to go before congress and give war reports?

Yes it is. Why did he send in a proxie in the first place... and why was he so dumb as to spend the week before the proxie made his presentation, telling the public what the general was going to say before it got said.

Any idiot can see the manipulations here.

Sorry Bush faithful, you really have no clue whatsoever.

Support for Bush is a sign of a weak and fearful mind, and increasingly, it is clear Bush supporters want to tear apart America and replace it with some sort of police state.

Tasers indeed!

When do you start with the armbands and torchlight rallies, dorks?

I still don't believe "Free Speech" covers lies and slander - which is what the Swift Boat thing was all about. They were thoroughly debunked.

People are just pissed at MoveOn.org because they called out a liar - Patraeus.

I've got news for you all - just because somebody puts on a costume does not make him immune to accountability. Patraeus' own superior called out the guy.

So he's a liar, so what?

Many people have the mistaken belief that moveon and George Soros control the Democratic Party because they've been told this repeatedly, The fact that 23 Democratic Senators apologized for the ad lends credence to the belief that the Democratic Party is responsible for the ad.

It's just another way that the Bush cheerleaders lump the moderates and liberals together. It's easy for someone to point and say,'Look. MoveOn did something bad. Therefore, anyone with doubts about this Administration is bad.'

Any port in a storm...

yeah, but apparently it's "wrong" when Dems raise money or organize. Only Republicans are allowed to be on the payola. Just like it's "wrong" to lie about oral, but okay to lie about mass-murder and election fraud.

Well the fact that it isn't moveon.gov should be the first clue that points to them not being part of the government.
