Last week in dublin zoo one of the lions escaped, it got free and killed about 5 penguins before they lewered it back to its cage with meat.
It was later found that the lions enclosure is nothing more than chicken wire and that the zoo keepers in dublin zoo did not have tranquilizers to sedate the animals should there be an emergency.
This is a danger to the irish public that visit the zoo.
Do u think they should close it down??

they should have inspectors for zoo's as well apparently.
fix it - or close it down. preferably - close it down and move the animals to a better zoo-because if they are that irresponsible,im sure the animals aren't getting the treatment they deserve either.

i think there should be a investigation done as to why they let them open a zoo with chicken wire keeping in dangerous animals. it was luck that that lion ate the penguins and not a child. close it down until they build better enclosures

I got no problems with zoos as long as they take really good care of the animals. But this one is atrocious. Yes, closing it down is a good thing.

Better 5 penguins then 5 people. They need to be investigated for sure. Thanks for letting us know. I know 1 zoo I definitely won't be going to. You are right close it down.

Thats crazy1 that can hurt people, other animals, the lion, uggg thats stupid! maybe not close it down , just get batter cages
