Sounds like the moveon.org wimps are making an impact on you. You don't have a clue about what he has done and probably think he is some stupid guy that doesn't have a doctor's degree that wrote the first book since the Vietnam War on new combat with our newest tactical weapon systems. He was the top graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College Class.

It's sad how the high school graduates of moveon.org can convince these young people that someone like a General is not much more than a politician. Keep headed in your direction and you'll probably not amount to much or wise up and make something of yourself. It takes hard work to get ahead and no one is going to give you the position of General because you flip hamburgers good at McDonalds.

It's unlikely any of these presidents all the way back to Eisenhower, could have made it to the level of even a one star General if they would have devoted their entire life in the military. Most likely many levels below... so far below that Petraeus wouldn't even know their name, much less recognize them.

This is a different level of high achiever that you can ever imagine. It's not all a popularity contest like becoming a politician.

===

BTW, if you didn't know it, a Purple Heart means that you got hurt. Not one in American history has received 3 Purple Hearts without spending a day in the hospital. That is, except for Kerry... he took off a day and a half from work. Next time you see a vet that has one Purple Heart, ask him how many months he was in the hospital.

Don't you even have the slightest clue why Kerry was controversial? You are a sucker... I wish you would be around when I need to sell my used car.

The man has given his entire life in service to our country. He is well decorated. Never heard him called a hero? He was selected to project a better course to end our deployment in Iraq. That is what I read and hear. The propaganda machine has exaggerated his role here. War sucks. I am offended by your use of wh*re here also. No one wants casualties. But if left to their own devises these groups would cause more global warfare. Imagine the Iraqui's can not control these factions on their own soil, if they spread further millions could be affected.

I am no top military official. I voted for people I trust. They have the security knowledge, do you? No. Your stereotypes don't work with the facts presented. Thank you.

Sorry I was wrong. Anyone who goes in the line of fire to protect my freedom is a hero.

He is a hero and maybe you should read up on him more before you decide what kind of person he is to you.

He has served this country well and has earn respect.

I have no problem with questioning tatics that has been done in the past.

This is the first time in history a general was called to Congress to testify and was accused of lieing.

As far as Kerry he has no medals once you throw them away you don't have them anymore.

"Tea Partiers are Nazis" is right (nonetheless his call is hyperbolic). in basic terms previous to the French revolution, the King tried to soothe the progressive forces by ability of giving them a voice. The conservatives have been seated to the perfect, the liberals (classical liberals) have been to the left. The terminology remains used right this moment, even nonetheless that's often used BADLY. the fashionable political events of the U. S. could the two be on the left in that assembly, each and each favoring area of the platform they embraced back then. yet it incredibly is the origination of the perfect-left lingo.

General Patraeus is a hero. All the people in the military are hero's. This is weather or not they have done anything heroic. It takes a strong person to devote their lives to our freedoms and our peace. It is too bad you do not have an appreciation of these people.

According to Conservatives, all people in the military are heroes. Of course with a few exceptions. John Kerry being one of them. Now the average person would look at a veteran that earned a silver star and bronze star as a hero. But not them. Not when politics are involved. If Kerry was a Republican, he would TRULY be a great American Hero.
