Kida depends where in the WORLD you are.
In Norway we can take DSL without an analogue phone line.
Usually to get a DSL connection you need to accept a phone line.
Cable, you need to accept a TV package.
So really you're best bet is to contact local suppliers and ask for the best offers that they have

Yes, cable without tv or phone provider is still expensve in way over 50.00 a month. The dry loop DSL or DSL with no voice provider is a couple of bucks less expensive than cable. The quality i have determined is apparent Wire which is completely unlimited usage wi-fi. It is on hand in important cities across the united states. I'm promoting my dwelling and might be condo residing for a while. So i have been browsing around. Clearwire has download Speeds to circulation films and most gaming at 30.00 a month. This is manner less $$ than what the wi-fi telephone co's offer and the wireless telcos limit you to 5GM monthly, that not up to 2 full length films.

You need some type of cable. But the best home service out there right now is cable, and if your lucky, maybe T1 or T3. But you need some type of line to receive internet. Unless your getting your internet with a receiver off of someones router.

Well you have to hook up somehow which most people use cable internet or through a phone line which can be dsl or dialup service. Another option would be satelite service which can be through directv or other satelite companies. I guess if you don't want phone or cable your answer is satelite
