Well, I could get it started by saying it started when capital capital started. Or I'd say when handcrafting and small business couldn't compete with mass production and monopolies and robber barons of the late 19th century. With capital you can hire the best minds to capture the market and put money into advertising, speculation and manipulate the market and media, even the government. Military industrial complex used the gov to feed itself. Business and gov in bed. Concentrated power. Education training workers instead of teaching people how to think and be in competition. Laws, not by the peope, but those in power. If you can manipulate a labor surplus, you have labor in your pocket. Wealth couldn't be that concentrated with cows for payment, but with money it can be amassed on a little piece of paper. People don't control the paper, gov or big business in a complex economy. They don't know what the gov's doing half the time. I can never figure it out. Look at the 5 mil Bush made because he could brokered a deal through his connections with his father, the pres. They confiscated land at a cheap price from ordinary people to build a football stadium, paid for part of it from, was it city funds, and we have to pay again to see a game at high prices behind a pole. Hm. At least the Romans got in for free, I understand. When the robber barons lost integrity and honor, they sure didn't want labor to have it, By corrupting labor, you might as well say people, now we let all sorts of things pass. I guess you could always sell your access to the king, but now with mega everything, it's probably more profitable and an individual is helpless, unless they organize and that becomes another big business, corruption etc. You rob the bank because that's where the money is. With more power you need more integrity at the top and bottom, not less. We still put all our money on manufacturing, that is science and technology and not best society, gov, and objective study of best business model for the long term or tests for owners as well as employees. It was that a person used their common sense. Now they've denegrated that. If economics only studies economics it is to not look at the big picture that we should be looking at. That's a misuse of the field. It's rather to at least look at everything from an economic viewpoint and not just subjectively at 'economics'. That's circular and subjective, to some extent as it's really in the minds and hearts of men that all takes place. The mind is a factor left out with all the people with science only using the five senses of the outside world while the mind is integrates it all and is an object in the equation also and feeling trump it all. The psychology, sociology and philosophy of economics or indeed, what can be left out. without skewering the results from omitting data. How can you isolate business ethics from personal ethics, for instance. Everything is related. There's seeds in there for a makeover of the whole discipline. Sorry, that's what I have, so that's what I have to say.
