have a cat scan done right away. and have it at looked at by an ent who is also a head and neck surgeon. i had a cholesteatoma (tumor) removed when it had been only a mm. from the base of my brain. it is a bony tumor. they also can be reoccuring as it is in my case. i've had 3 surgeries so far. it has destroyed all the bones in my left ear and i no longer have hearing on that side. the first signs of a cholesteatoma is a smell. they are slow growing but go soon. mine was found when i turned 35 although it was caused by a congenital birth defect of the eustacian tube not forming correctly. i never had had a problem or an ear infection in my life until i was 35.

Being born with a hole above the ear canal is one thing, but having a smelly discharge is not normal. Sounds like an infection. Please see you doctor asap so you can start treatment.

Sounds like you have an extra large oil gland there. The smell comes from bacteria that grow in the oil. You would have to go to a dermatologist to have it permanently fixed (removed). If the oil sits in there long enough your body will form a cyst wall around it and you will end up with a lump which will also take a dermatologist to remove.

What you're doing here is like asking your mechanic for advice on baking bread. He might be great at it, or he might not. You don't have any way to tell, though.
If it was me, I'd ask my doctor about it. No valid medical professional is going to diagnose anything over the web, and you have no way to judge if any answers you DO get are valid.

probably an infected congenital anomaly. see a doctor (an otolaryngologist (also known as an ENT) and get some antibiotics. you'll probably need to get it drained as well.

It is called stink ear. Rolling on the floor laughing my bootie off. Sounds gross, maybe your family need to see a doctor about it.
