The MoveOn.org group was 100 PERCENT CORRECT... but the drooling born again masses who believe Bush is such a good president and have been given a snow job about the Iraq Scam war, can't see it... once again.. it's that AmeriKan arrogance and the christian thing of shooting the messenger (MoveOn.org) rather than hearing the B.S. message. that was written by the WHITE HOUSE and then vomited out to the AmeriKan public by General BETRAY US.

1. swiftboat people were against Kerry -- he lied and they stood up to him saying what he did was untrue,
2. the MoveOn was an ad (as was the swiftboat) but they got the price cheaper than normal -- that is the real problem not what was said (which was really bad against the general callin him a traitor).
suggest u learn more about political ads in the future and what can and cannot be said -- + prices must be the same for all ads -- this equals fairness to all political parties and ideas.

They did, the same day as the moveon.org vote, but no Republicans voted for it. There was a resolution the same day criticizing the Swift Boat ads and another negative ad that had been put out about another serviceman in Congress...can't remember who. They only find talking badly about the military to be offensive when Republicans can benefit from it.

Because Democrats are not as a savvy, Reid should lose his leadership position for letting this vote out of committee. Allowing a vote on an obscure and controversial ad that has even a thin connection to your own party was just a stupid political move.
Democrats dropped the ball entirely during the whole swift boat campaign and it cost them seats in congress.

MoveOn cited sources for their ad, there was nothing libel. SwiftBoat happened in a period when people did not question the republican party.
It is a shame that MoveOn is being targetted.
President Bush made Petraeus a political figure by involving him with the report. You cannot claim immunity from public scrutiny when you become part of the political scene.

It's a can of worms. Swiftboat would open it to criticising virtually all political campaigns. Ex: If Swift boat, why not .... and ..... and..... and on and on and on
Besides the General had nothing to do with a political campaign and swift boat was years ago. Where would it end?

Because the Democrats are following the rules of the Marquis d'Queensbury, and the Gang Of Pirates are following the rules of the Marquis d'Sade.
Any statement by the GOP reflects only the effect they want to have on those who hear it, and if there is anything in what they say that reflects actual Reality, or even their bizzaro fantasy reality, it is both accidental and irrelevant to their purpose.
They cry crocodile tears when Move-on only ASKS if the sock puppet general will live up to the name he is called by his troops (and likely called by his grade school classmates) and give a host of links to indicate that such is likely.
They are perfectly happy to lash out with total dishonor to anyone, military or not, perceived "Enemy" or even friend that is not perceived a suffecientaly loyal

I think there is a big difference between the two groups. John Kerry is a politician he has put his life into the public eye by choose to run for and hold political office. Kerry is accountable to the American people. His military service can be made an issue during an election, President Bush's sure was.
MoveOn attack a current military leader, a person who was currently giving their life in service to their country. General Petraeus is not a politician. He is accountable to the President not to the American people.
