I thought about something mosiac, but that seems like a LOT of work - dyeing them, etc. They are hard as rocks and seem like they would last forever? Any ideas?

the mosaic would only take a long time to glue. you could put them in groups and spray paint them, then glue them on... if that makes sense

and congrats Robert S, for quitting smoking :-) its been 5 months for me now and it feels great!

Have you ever seen those plant hangers that are made out of those little sea shell? Bet you could something like that with the pistachio shells.

Mice...

I like the mosiac idea the best though... But yeah it would be a lot of work... but then all things worth doing require some sacrifice... right?

IT does seem like an awful lot of work !!

My brother and I are both pistachio-addicts (it has replaced cigarettes). We simple use them as fuel in his wood burning stove! Not necessarily a "Hobby or Craft" use... but it keeps his office / wood-shop warm while we build furniture.

I DO like the "mice" thought... though I'd go insane with that many little mice !!

Always thrown them in the garden to prevent weeds.
But why not make a nice necklace, by boring small holes in them, paint them any color you like, f.i. with nail polish, and then string them.

Packing material! Who needs styrofoam "peanuts" when you have shells of their cousins?

They make good garden mulch. And here is a guy who makes little people out of them.
