because the only reference on Jesus IS the bible! there is no other book that they can quote from and it stops them from having free thought to question it, thats why faith is blind

Some of them only have the Bible as their source and will use no other, not even thier own minds, which I find is sad because many good ideas come out of the Human mind. I think they like falling back on what they think they know to be "truth". If that gives them comfort, well and good, provided they don't use it to beat Us about the head and shoulders with. When they start doing that, they're no better than those who persecute.

Ummm seriously, what do you expect on R&S ?
Christians quote the Bible, Muslins the Koran and some people quote Darwin. Whatever.
And the word of God carries more weight than what some guy thinks. If you had a book you believed contained all the truth necessary wouldn't you quote it?
Not saying I agree at this point in time, but it's how they see it.

Such people cannot think very well, so they allow someone to think for them. many such people blindly repeat stuff in the Bible, just like parrots. I see that many of them do not understand what they are saying. My relatives are mostly like that. I was thinking when I was quite young. I corrected my teachers in elementary school, and I saw errors in the Bible at age 7. Mom's father was a preacher, so my family did not approve of my questioning the family religion.

Maybe because this board attracts people who are religious and live by the Bible? I'm not especially religious but I don't see anything wrong with that. I can certainly live with it.
None of us really comes up with purely our own answers, whether we use the Bible or not. Maybe that's why there's a field here for people to list their sources.

If the Bible has the answer, then why not use the Bible as a source???????
You will find the truth!!

Well, you see, that's the whole point.
The folks who line up behind the Bible do not even wish for any other sources for their arguments. They believe that the bible contains every answer that may be needed.
Personally, I don't see it. But they do. Expecting them to defend their position with logic or reason is like expecting them to join the atheist team.

I find that people will not have to index references if they say what they feel, if they truly feel it, from the heart.
Having a reference guide, unless desiring direct quotes, may indicate a lack of knowledge or uncertainty

Why don't you ask them yourself?
Its in the best interest of the devil that you ask this question here, because he knows the answers will be tainted.
Ask the question to the category you persecute,or you can continue to hide here with the devil and his faithfuls

Many people were taught not to listen to their inner selves, they don't know that the TRUTH is all ready inside of them, they believe they are supposed to be blind followers. I'm sure they have what they believe to be their own answers, they are probably just too nervous to voice them as it might go against what they were told they SHOULD be doing....
