It would depend on the overall style; if you're going to wear silver shoes, you might want to get a bag or some other accessory with the same type of silver on it, and black. But black dresses can really be worn with any color of shoe, so long as makeup, jewelry, and the STYLE (shape/cut/whatever) of the pieces goes together.

Metallic accents look great with almost any color, and black is no exception! Tons of celebrities have been wearing a black dress / silver shoes color combo lately and it looks great - it's the perfect way to jazz up an outfit for a festive occasion such as a wedding.

If you are going to wear black to a wedding then you need to brighten up the outfit with some shoes and bag so hell yeah go for the silver.

If think you could wear any colour shoes with black, as long as the style suits your dress and the colours match up ok with your coat, jewellery, bag etc.
I don't exactly understand what everyones problem is with wearing a black dress to a wedding, you didn't ask their opinion on black dresses, you just wanted to know if silver and black match, don't listen to them! Wear whatever you fancy regardless of any superstitious rubbish

ignore all the rubbish about not wearing black to a wedding this is 2007 do what u want. i'm guessing the dress is gorgeous and not a funeral outfit! I went to a big white catholic wedding in july and the mother of the bride wore black, she looked amazing! Some people even bridesmaids in black.

I don't see why not, you could always add a pair of gorgeous black shoe clips to bring in the colour, try prettypinktoes.co.uk. Add a silver handbag and away you go. Enjoy the wedding!

silver shoes will look great! What would be even better would be to wear silver earring or some sort of silver accessory to really top the outfit off! hope this helps xx

if the wedding is in the evening it will be ok to wear silver. if in d morning wear everything black and put a hot pink shawl it looks good if the dress is in straps. preferable the shoes will be in straps ;)

I think silver shoes would be super nice looking...but like the person said earlier..make sure you wear some silver accessories.
