I don't hate the Bears, but Lovie Smith must want the Bears to fail miserably this year. The "Rex Grossman Experiment" has flopped. He is A-W-F-U-L.
Byron Leftwich was on the table for over a week and the Bears did NOTHING! What the h#ll are they thinking? Byron Leftwich vs Rex Grossman. Hmmmm. Who was more of a warrior in college? Who is more consistent and dedicated to the game?
I tell ya, Rex Grossman is the NFL's modern-day "Ryan Leaf."
He admits to not taking a New Year's game "seriously," and he turns the ball over more than a greased-up quarterback with oven mitts on his hands. Will Grossman be labelled one of the worst QB's in history, alongside the names of Todd Marinovich, Andre Ware, David Klinger, and Ryan Leaf? I think so.
Thank God I'm a Packer fan. Brett Favre? Now HE is a QB.

I agree about Favre, but not even Grossman can approach the bottom -feeder level of Ryan Leaf. Steve Spurrier always turns out QB's that were great for college but suck in the pros. In fact, Spurrier himself was great in college yet sucked in the pros!

Farve is an Icon, but the Packers are about ready to fizzle out. Grossman doesn't think, he is not going to go down in NFL history as one of the worst QB's. He led the Bears to a 13-3 record last year and still got criticized. I know..the defense did it last year, but they were just as bad as Grossman last night. Dallas ate them up, it must have been embarrassing for them especially after everyone hyped them up to be the ones to stop the Cowboys

Grossman doesn't have the skills to be a starting pro qb, but to compare him to Ryan Leaf is not fair. Ryan just could not handle the pressure of being a professional football player, period. I saw a piece on Ryan last season on HBO Real Sports? He is back in football, but not the fishbowl of the NFL.
The Packers having been doing well, so far. Much better than recent years and better than anyone expected. Including them.

Grossman will never be as bad as Leaf was. Fact is Leaf gave up on his teammates in the middle of a game. Grossman does at least try. Also Leaf was a bust, not just because of on field play but his fits of anger was a disruption to the team.
No as bad as Grossman is at times he could never sink to the sub-human level of Leaf.

1. Grossman sucks more every week.
2. Leftwich sucks.
3. Rex can't begin to compare to Leaf in the as*hole department.
4. I think he will fit just fine on your list. Add Leftwich to it.

Does this remind you of Rex:

BTW, Favre knows he could have broken Dan Marino's record. But he plays smart and knew there was a chance of him jeopardizing the game if he would have gone after the record. He is a phenomenal QB. I am a huge Bears fan, but I have a lot of respect for Favre. I actually can't wait to see him break the record in the next game.. will be a really great moment for the NFL.
Too bad Rex is too short, has small hands and brain is such a clusterf**k that he can't make completions.

Well what can you say, Rex Grossman gives exusue after excuse and it hurts the Bears time after time. But i can tell you this: this way we don't play in the NFL because when you have someone like Rex Grossman you to trust him when the fans don't. I'm saying that his teammates trust 100% but i mean that they have no choice but too.

Dont get it twisted Leftwich sucks to and is as big a bust as Grossman. The man lost his job to a career backup QB. Grossman will be gone next year.

I'd have to agree that Grossman is a bust, but as big of a bust as Leaf? I think not. Leaf was an utter failure. Also, my roomie went to high school with Grossman and I've heard he was a huge d*ck.

Ryan Leaf is in a catagory all his own. The guy barely played and cried about every pass he threw... I can't even stomach talking about him anymore...
At least Rex has had a few good games, but his contract size versus his production will be why he can not be compared with the others that you have mentioned. Rex has played to about the level that he is paid. The others were paid well beyond thier production.
